Seeds are placed in an apparatus where they are exposed to a specifically tuned electric field. This electric field is modulated to suit variety-specific and trait-specific influences on biochemical pathways within the seeds that alters functional changes during the early stages of growth. With this we target improved germination and early vigour.
The farmer doesn’t need to do anything different if they don’t want to. This is an intervention on the seeds . -
We’ve completed over 300 experiments with over 100K seedlings. We are getting closer to understanding what might be an expected gain for some species and varieties. For example, in leafy greens we are targeting a 10% increase in yield and at least 1 extra crop rotation a year.

Yes. We’re looking for an operations person to run the lab experiments and lab expenses (so Mic can focus on building the next stage of our tech). We’re also looking for an engineer/ maker who is super versatile (to build cool tech with Mic). Please get in touch using the form if you might like to be a Storm Chaser with us.

We have a term sheet for our seed round and are considering other candidate funds to participate. Ideally this would be a strategic fund with either the capacity to lead the series A round in the future, or be able to open up a lot of opportunities for Rainstick.
